About Me
I'm a Chinese-Born, Toronto-based interdisciplinary artist. My research interests are in natural materials and environmental philosophy. I use only natural materials to bring my ecological consciousness and my appreciation of nature into different art forms, such as paintings, installations and time-based media.
I value every natural material because, deep within, they carry memories of the past. They are the witnesses and bearers of every natural event, from wind, rain, and snow, to fire, storm, flood and earthquake. After they perish, they will still nourish our land till the end of time.
My works speak to nature itself and also the philosophical thinking developed around nature. The natural force that interacts with matter and defines our universe brings them where they are today, and human beings will never stop exploring where every species on earth is going to next.
