Daoism emphasizes the interconnection of all things in the universe, particularly the unity between humanity and nature. This perspective suggests that we are not separate from the natural world but rather an integral part of it. The same energy that flows through the plants, animals, and landscapes around us also courses through our bodies. The vital energy that flows within every living being and object, the force that animates and sustains the natural world, we call it liveness.
